Review for Held Against You by Season Vining ( 4 out 5 must reads)

This was pretty good, and I really liked Kat.  I always like when there are smart female characters in books, and I especially love nerdy tech types, so I really enjoyed Kat's character.  I also liked the whole on the run scenario, but I felt like Kat wasn't quite so smart with some of her decisions relating to her situation, and some of the actions she chose while she's on the run, but the story kept me interested till the end, and I wanted to keep on reading till I finished.  The chemistry between Kat and the bounty hunter was excellent, and Kat's humor definitely adds to my enjoyment of this book; helps make it not quite so heavy.  This book definitely took a different turn then I was expecting, but the way it ended up, I thought, was a good way to go for the story; although I do wish some more people got their comeuppance!  This book was romance with an edge, and I think it's unexpected. A great read!

Review for Possess by Laura Marie Altom ( 3 out 5 must reads)

I liked this book about as much as I liked the first; actually I liked it a bit more, but I think the 3 star rating works well for both books.  Something I wanted from this book after reading the first book was for the characters to have more growth, but I don't think that really happened.  I really couldn't get in tune with Ella; she seemed whiny and naïve, and her decisions were not thought out.  If I remember right, which it's possible I don't, Ella was said to be smart and strong, but I didn't get that from her; she seemed to just wimp around, and I get that she went through something horrific and she's justified in some of her actions, but I think her behavior went a bit too over the top.  Also, when she said they (Liam and Her) were the beautiful people; I just about gagged;  I felt more like she was a teenager, rather than a woman; she felt very immature to me. After all that being said, I was still rooting for her; I just wanted more from her.  As for Liam, I like him; his alpha tendencies do go a bit over the top sometimes, but he does check himself for the most part, and I do like him and Ella together.  I do like the whole premise of this book, and that's really what saved this book for me because the story kept me interested till the end, and although I was a bit annoyed with the characters, I still wanted to read about their journey.  It's a good read.  I see there's a 3rd book in the series, so I'm curious about it and who it will feature; it's called Rebound, so I'm thinking Nathan, but we'll see!

Review for Want It by Jennifer Chance ( 3 out 5 must reads)

This was pretty good, and I liked the chemistry between the main characters.  The main thing that sat wrong with me was Erin felt really naïve to me, which led to me seeing her as ditzy.  Also, the reason Erin and Zander separated was BS; I get they were young and everything feels so major, but I think if Zander was really in love with Erin then he would have understood and not been such a hothead, but in the end I liked them together.  I like the premise for this story, and most of the back story of the characters. The premise helped add some action to the story, and that kept it flowing, and I was shocked that the story didn't go in a certain way with Erin's mom; I think it would of added an interesting element if it had gone the way I was thinking; I don't want to spoil anything, so I'll stop there.  I didn't read any of the previous books in the series, but that didn't seem to deter any from this book; there were brief mentions of characters from other books, but other than that I was fine without having read the other books.  I will look into the other books, and what other books Jennifer Chance has written because I did really enjoy this book; I'd say this book is almost a 4 star, but was just shy of it; still an excellent read!

Review for Loving You Is Easy by Wendy S. Marcus ( 4 out of 5 must reads)

I really like the concept of this book, and I like the length of this book; there's not a whole bunch of BS, and it was a quick read for me; that kept me interested until the end.  I think Brooke and Shane were sweet together, and I commend Brooke for how she dealt with Shane.  I wasn't to sure about Shane at the beginning of the book; mainly with Brooke and Shane's first meeting, Shane's character was a bit odd for me and he seemed as if he was a bit of an A-hole, but as the story progressed he started to grow on me, and Brooke definitely helped smooth out some of his rough edges.  I liked most of the side characters, and I'm looking forward; hopefully, to Neve's story, and hopefully some more glimpse of Brooke and Shane.  This story is a sweet romance, which I really enjoyed reading.

Review for Bad Romeo by Leisa Rayven ( 5 out 5 must reads)

What!? It's over! Ah, man I need more ending! But despite the ending, I still loved this book!  This book has spice and heat, and heart and soul.  The tension the author created between the main characters was very intense in the most awesome way.  I like the present story and the glimpses into the past; it really built up the characters.  I almost didn't like Cassie, but I never got to that point because her humor and honesty with herself was refreshing, and all I could feel for her was understanding.  She is trying to cope with living without a piece of her.  Ethan was excellently written and he had depths to him that added to the enjoyment of reading about him and all he goes through to come to terms with himself.  This story is exceptionally sweet and heartbreaking and full of so much emotion.  I will definitely be looking into more books by Leisa Rayven in the future! Superb Read!

Review for A Cursed Bloodline by Cecy Robson ( 5 out 5 must reads)

Ooooh man! This one was brutal! So many bad things happen in this book!  It was making me so mad! I had to skim parts of this book because my frustration was unwelcome, and I had to get to the parts that would let me release my frustration; it took awhile, but some of my frustration was relieved, but a whole new situation would ramp it back up!  But, the story was very engrossing, and I really enjoy this series! One thing I do hate is that whole I won't tell people about some evil person trying to hurt everyone because I want to protect everyone scenario; it's so frustrating!  It never works out, and so it really gets on my nerves; it just creates way more problems then just telling people the truth.  For once, I'd like a character to be like screw you, I'm telling my people what's going on and we can figure it out together!  You can tell people and keep it secret, so nuts!  I was hoping Celia would have done something like that, but alas torture ensued.  I am glad she somewhat put Masha in place; I was thinking the whole time, if he really loved her as much as he says, he wouldn't be sleeping with everything.  He always did bother me.  Even through this torment, I still really enjoyed this book, and I think it was an excellent addition to this series, and although I did have to skim some parts, I still highly enjoyed it! I will definitely read the next one and I hope everyone will have a happy ending!

Review for I'm Dreaming of an Undead Christmas by Molly Harper ( 4 out of 5 must reads)

I like Molly Harper's books, so this was a nice addition for me.  Harper's books are sweet and I enjoy the humorous aspect of her books; for the most part anyway.  I liked reading about some of the characters from previous books, and I love Christmas stories, so this was fun to read.  I like the tease of the mysterious vampire for the next book; I'm really looking forward to the next book!  I still don't like Ophelia though, and it seems she will be present more; I'm hoping either Jamie catches a clue, or Ophelia becomes more likable.  I think reading the previous books of Molly Harper would be beneficial before reading this book, but this book is still fun on it's own and is a quick read.

Review for Blame It on the Mistletoe by Nicole Michaels ( 5 out 5 must reads)

Loved it! I love Christmas Romances, and this book was just the right thing.  It was a super quick read that kept me interested all the way to the end.  It was super sweet and I thought the main characters were really cute together.  Definitely uplifted my mood into the Christmas spirit.  I will definitely look into more books by Nicole Michaels! Great Holiday Read!
