Review for Savior by Nicole Blanchard - 5 out of 5!

I thought I put my past behind me.

I lost everything when I testified against my fiancé for the murders of five women. After the jury delivered a life sentence, I ran. I hoped if I could disappear, maybe the horror he caused would, too.

When I return to Florida for the first time after his conviction, I’m determined to face my fears and get my life back. Then, a woman is murdered and I’m the only one who believes her death features the same signature as those I’m trying so hard to forget.

Instinct tells me to run again, but local cop Logan Blackwell has never let a suspect–or a woman–get away. He’s made it his own personal mission to solve the case and he needs my help to do it.

I have no choice once we learn I’m the next target, but I’m not interested in getting close to another man, especially not a sexy former Marine who has secrets of his own.

I love the suspense and romance that Nicole Blanchard creates in her stories! In Savior, the story starts out with a serial killer killing a woman at an university, and then leads into the female leads story. Piper's life is hit hard with the events of the serial killer, and she is finding it difficult to stay in one place, or let her walls down to let others into her life. Piper gets a job at a bed and breakfast, and meets local cop Logan, who is the nephew of the B&B owner. Logan sees Piper is withholding something, so wanted to make sure his family is safe and she is on the up and up, he decides to find out more about Piper, and along the way he begins to feel an attraction towards her. Piper tries to push Logan away, but he is on to her and won't let her run away, and when women start being attacked again, Logan will do what it takes to protect her. Piper and Logan are really sweet, and I loved how protective Logan is of her. There are some hot scenes between the two, and Logan definitely knows how to get the blood flowing. I loved the mystery, and even though I guessed early what was what, I still really enjoyed how the story unfolded, and I loved how tough Piper is. I loved getting glimpses of the other characters from the past books! Nicole Blanchard's books are interesting and entertaining and I can't wait for the next one!
