Review for Lumberjack Love by J.L. Beck - 5 out of 5!

SYNOPSIS -

Jackson is rough, ornery, and on most days the last person you would want to be around. He's a lumberjack in the backwoods of Georgia and he knows more than anyone that when a gorgeous woman shows up on your property uninvited it ain't fate.

Not knowing what to make of the situation, and wanting no part in the beautiful woman's drama he tells her she needs to leave and that he ain't no saving grace but a rough countryman.

When she refuses to take no for an answer he knows he's gonna have to take matters into his own hands and get her to leave himself but one touch is all it takes to have him weak in the knees.

Lola ain't going back down the road to where her ex-boyfriend dropped her off. Not if she can help it. Jackson doesn't want to help her but she can tell it's just a front he's putting up and that he's actually attracted to her. If she can get him to take her in and protect her then she knows everything will be okay.

Will things between the brute of a lumberjack and the sassy-refuses-to-take-no for an answer heroine work out or will her past come back to haunt her?

MY REVIEW -

This is super sweet! When your going into this book, remember it is a fantasy type of book, it isn't really based in reality per se. The romance moves very quickly, and the characters actions are a bit unbelievable, so you need to enjoy it for the fantasy aspect of the story, and that's what I did, and I loved it! I'm all on board for feeling a deep connection to someone on first sight, so I found the romance to be adorably sweet, and hot! Jackson is a lumberjack, who lives in the woods in the middle of nowhere, while he is out chopping wood, Lola runs up to him asking for help. Jackson is wary at first because he doesn't want any drama, but there's something about Lola that calls to him, so he offers her shelter. Lola's now ex-boyfriend left her on the side of the road in the forest, he's a douchebag and Lola has finally seen his evil ways, but she knows he won't let her go without causing problems for her. I love how manly Jackson is, and despite his gruff demeanor, he is really a sweetheart. I liked Lola too, she's honest with her situation and she's honest about her feelings. I liked the added drama of the douchebag boyfriend, and I liked how Lola and Jackson's relationship evolved. This is short, hot, and sweet! Looking forward to more from J.L. Beck!
