Review for Double Double: A Cauldron Bubble Novella by Wendy Knight - 5 out of 5!

SYNOPSIS -

“Love is made in a potion. Flirting is pointless and unnecessary."
"But fun."
Fate and Destiny are daughters of an outcast witch, trying to figure out how the whole magic thing works. One light, one dark, and they have no idea their future holds a terrifying prophesy.
For now, they’re just trying to create a love potion to sell to their classmates.
So they can buy more shoes.
But the past their mother tried so hard to escape is coming for them, and love potions aren’t going to save the day this time.
Oh, and Damien.
Fate’s huge crush on Damien leads her to extremes to get his attention. Those very extremes, though, prove to Destiny that if love can come in a potion, it can’t come from the heart.

MY REVIEW -

I love Cauldron Bubble and Fire Burn, so I was super excited to get more Fate and Destiny! I love the humor in this series, and I love the fun, interesting world Wendy Knight creates! The whole series is wonderful! In Double Double, we get a glimpse at Fate and Destiny's lives before the events in the first book, Cauldron Bubble, while they have a little adventure, and are finding out more about witches, spells, and warlocks, and we get to see a pinch of the beginning of Fate and Damien's relationship. Fate and Destiny are in their quirky best in this novella, and I love getting more story with the two! I of course want more, so I'm excited to continue on with this series! I don't think it's absolutely necessary to read the other books before this one; since this one is a prequel, but I think it made me feel more of a connection with the girls as a reader because I've already read the other 2 books in the series, but either way would work, and this book does give a good indication of the tone of the rest of the books. Fun, entertaining, quick read! Love Wendy Knight's writing, and I'm definitely looking forward to more!
