Review for Part of the Sky by J.W. Lynne - 5 out of 5!

From the author of the dystopian thrill ride ABOVE THE SKY and its riveting sequel, RETURN TO THE SKY, comes the mind-blowing conclusion to the Sky trilogy. Nineteen-year-old Seven is forced to risk her life to save those she loves in a world full of more secrets than she ever imagined.

This young adult / new adult science fiction novel tells the story of a young woman coming of age in a post-apocalyptic dystopian future society founded on lies. Filled with constant suspense, shocking twists, forbidden romance, imaginative adventure, and thought-provoking philosophy, the SKY trilogy is perfect for readers who enjoyed THE HUNGER GAMES (by Suzanne Collins), DIVERGENT (by Veronica Roth), THE FIFTH WAVE (by Rick Yancey), THE MAZE RUNNER (by James Dashner), ENDER'S GAME (by Orson Scott Card), and THE GIVER (by Lois Lowry).

This series is great! Love the whole premise, and love the characters! This book is interesting and exciting, and I love how the characters have really come into their own, and they have become so strong. The writing flows beautifully, and the story comes to life. This is the final book in the trilogy, so definitely read the first 2 books before this one, so you get the whole story. Seven is back with Ten at the Warrior training camp Above, and Six is back below, where it is safe with Seven and Ten's baby, Fifty-Two. There's POV's from Seven, Ten, Six, and Jackie; an Outsider, who has been hiding among the Warriors as a spy. Six is trying to blend back in with those down below, and figure out how she wants to proceed with being mated with Nine and her feelings for her female friend, Three, and to top it off, some of Six's memories have been erased of her time at the Outsider's camp, but she still has flashes of feeling and memories every so often, and she doesn't know what to make of them; especially when it seems she may have felt a lot for the Outsider, Jose. Seven and Ten are happy to back together, but they know something isn't quite right in the Above, so they are doing what they can to find out what secrets the government is hiding. The group definitely has some tough situations on their hands, and they are going to need to really show extreme strength to overcome some intense situations, and persevere in battle. I enjoyed all the POV's, but Seven and Ten are definitely my favorite storyline. I love the relationship between Seven and Ten, and how supportive they are of each other, and how much they care and love each other, so I was super happy that there's plenty of Seven and Ten together. I loved how Seven and Ten worked together, and used technology to unravel the mysteries of the government. Part of the Sky was entertaining from the moment it started till the end, and it's bittersweet that the story has come to a conclusion because I'll miss these characters, but I'm satisfied with the conclusion. Plus, Lynne could write some novellas! *fingers crossed*
