Review for Wing Her Over by Amelia Jade - 5 out of 5!
SYNOPSIS - AMAZON LINK -
Andrew Raskell had life just the way he wanted it. As a gryphon shifter and ambassador from his homeland of Cadia to the small human town of Cloud Lake, life is peaceful and uneventful. Mostly. But when he comes upon a wolf shifter trying to harm a human woman, his intervention changes everything. He never thought he’d see the short, blonde haired woman again, but a second chance meeting proved to him that it must be fate. Now, if he could only show her that he was right for her.
Karri Blaine had everything figured out. From a young age she’d driven herself harder than anyone else in the quest to take over her shifter-hating father’s company. The only problem? He wants to give it to her immature younger brother instead. All it will take is one slip up on Karri’s part and her father will have the reason he needs to strip her of her role within the company. Karri knows that she shouldn’t invite the shifter into her life. Not after what happened to her family two years before. This could be the opening her father needs, but she’s blinded by the sexiest, strongest man she’s ever met.
Her father isn’t the only problem that Karri needs to worry about. Andrew has unknowingly dragged her into the crosshairs of those who are gunning for his job, and they’ll stop at nothing to get there. Andrew is playing for keeps though, and he’ll do whatever it takes to win her heart, no matter the cost to him…
MY REVIEW -
This is the first book I've read by Amelia Jade, and I really enjoyed it! I'll definitely be reading more! I love shifter books, and was super excited that Andrew is a Gryphon shifter! Super cool! I haven't read a gryphon shifter book before, so that was great! Amelia Jade created an interesting world involving the shifter population, and I enjoyed the back story for the shifters and Andrew. Andrew's job is to keep the shifters in check in the human city Cloud Lake, when he saves Karri from being attacked by a bad shifter, he recognizes Kerri as his mate, but doesn't want to scare her away by telling her too soon, so he decides to take it slow with Kerri. Kerri is a tough, capable women, who helps her father run a large company, but her father is a pain in the ass, and is trying to find a reason to not pass down the company to Kerri because she is woman. Kerri feels an attraction for Andrew, but she is very business oriented, and she doesn't want to do anything to jeopardize her inheriting the company, so she's unsure of becoming more with Andrew. There's some devious outside forces causing problems for the couple, that adds some great suspense! Plus, Kerri's father is crazy! Wing Her Over is entertaining and unique! The romance is sweet, and I love their connection! I actually would've loved more romance scenes between the two! I also would've loved more ending, but I loved what was there. Great read!
