Review for Star Crossed Hurricane by Wendy Knight - 5 out of 5!

You don’t date your best friend’s ex.
It doesn’t matter how head-over-heels, absolutely and completely in love with her you are.
Does it?
Sawyer met the girl of his dreams, and then found out she was the ex his best friend can’t get over. He’s forced to keep her in the friend zone, no matter how much it hurts him. And the fact that he knows she wants him, too, only makes it harder. But it’s a fight he’s determined to win.
Until they’re trapped together in a condemned house during a massive storm. For the first time since he met her, Sawyer’s not sure he can keep his heart to himself.

Loved the setting for this story! A lot of it takes place in an old house that has lots of unique and interesting quirks, so that was fun to read about the characters discovering the house, and on top of that there's a major hurricane going on, so that adds danger and suspense to the story. Sawyer loves Savannah and Savannah loves Sawyer, but neither of them have acted on it because Savannah's ex boyfriend, Bennett, is Sawyer's best friend, and Bennett is still in love with Savannah, so Sawyer feels like he needs to remain true to bro-code and not go after Savannah despite how much he feels for her, but because of his decision, he's hurting Savannah instead. All the parties involved are part of their college track team, and the track team is staying at a hotel in a different state for a track meet, and with a storm a brewing, things are going to come to a head. The romance is really sweet, and I just wanted to shake Sawyer and say go for it! Bennett was a butthead! I loved that there's POV's from both Sawyer and Savannah, it really helped to understand the depth of feeling both Sawyer and Savannah have for each other. I actually would've loved to have more to the ending! But I'm greedy, so.... what are you are going to do! I loved the action and there was a little bit of a spooky aspect to the story that was a lot of fun! Entertaining story!
