Review for Lure of the Fox by Anna Lowe - 5 out of 5!

SYNOPSIS - AMAZON LINK -

The steamy, passionate, and thrilling series finale!

Desert fox shifter Ella Kitt is better at risking her life than her heart. Not that she's expecting to do either when she flies to Maui to help her Special Forces comrades with an easy security job. Or maybe not such an easy job, because she’s forced to work — and live — in close quarters with smoking hot army hero, Jake McBride. Jake isn’t just the one-night-stand she can’t forget — he’s also a human, totally off-limits to shifters of her kind.

Jake has only had one goal since returning stateside after years of active service: to find the woman he loves. But he didn’t expect to find his kickass lover so soon, and he’s caught off guard. There’s something alluring and powerful about Ella — not to mention the mystery that surrounds her and his new employers at Koa Point. How exactly can a group of Special Forces vets afford to live on an exclusive oceanfront estate? What kind of enemy are they on guard against in their sun-kissed corner of paradise? And is that enemy targeting someone at the estate — or Jake?

MY REVIEW -

Love this series! I've read all the books of this series, and have loved them all! Love the overall premise of the series with the magical jewels, and love seeing the different types of shifters find their mates! I'd definitely start with the first book in the series because there's a story throughout all the books and you'll have a better idea about the events in this books. I suppose it isn't completely necessary because this one does focus on a different couple, but I think it enhances to overall story. Plus, all the books are awesome! In this book, Ella, a fox shifter, is in Hawaii to help some of her old soldier buddies help with security now that they've all found their mates and need to protect them and their magical jewels. The group also hires another military buddy, Jake, who just a plain ole human. Ella and Jake have history of the romantic kind. Ella knows Jake is her mate, but since he's human, Ella fears that he probably wouldn't survive the change. Also, she doesn't know how he'd take learning about shifters. There's also some baddies after the group, but also someone isn't too happy with Jake either, and that causes problems. When Jake and Ella need to work closely together, Ella is finding it difficult to keep her emotions in check around Jake. The romance is very sweet, and I loved how devoted Jake is to Ella. They really get each other, and complement each other wonderfully. As always, I love the action! And love the sexy times and mate connections! I'm really looking forward to reading more books set in this setting, and looking forward to more from Anna Lowe!
